With more than 11 years of experience in the Internet and telecommunications industries working for Fortune Global 100 companies and his own businesses, Ruben's expertise includes computer hardware and software, networking, web standards, e-commerce, enterprise software and e-business, fixed and wireless telecommunications, design and deployment of computer systems, technology operations and maintenance, technology roadmapping, competence development and training, technology cost and value analysis, technology business planning and budgeting.

He has been described as an outstanding consultant possessing a strong work ethic and clear expertise, with a unique ability to take complicated processes and technologies and explain them simply and clearly.

His interest in computers and technology since childhood led him to become involved in his profession. He started his career in 1997 as a freelance website developer, and since then he has served numerous businesses in industries such as manufacturing, retail, entertainment, professional services, and non-profit. In 2000 Ruben earned his Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Venezuela. From 1999 to 2008 Ruben worked for Lucent Technologies and Nokia performing various roles including systems deployment, operations and maintenance, technical support, project management, and sales, serving large telecommunications operators such as BellSouth, TIM, Entel, Telefonica Movistar, America Movil, Cingular, AT&T, T-Mobile and Comcast.

In all of his roles he has been successful in the achievement of business objectives and the development of trusting customer relationships, founded on a consultative, solution-oriented working style, and outstanding communication skills.

Ruben moved to Philadelphia in early 2005 while working for Nokia as Solution Sales Manager. In 2008 he started Lyquix to address the need of many small businesses to properly plan and manage information technology, as an essential part of their business strategy and operations, and harvest the benefits that technology can provide to their bottom line.

Ruben is a member of the volunteering committee of the Young Professionals Network of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the advisory board of the Professional Mentoring Network of the Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the youth programs committee of Casa de Venezuela Delaware Valley.
