The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute Foundation for Opioid Research & Education
The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute Foundation for Opioid Research & Education was established in 2020, and it's led by Dr. Asif Ilyas of Rothman Orthopaedics Institute. The foundation is dedicated to funding and advancing research and education aimed at finding solutions to the opioid epidemic.
The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute engaged Lyquix to design and develop a fully-responsive website that would serve as a resource to the organization, the healthcare community, patients, and policymakers. As a provider of orthopaedic surgery and care, Rothman physicians felt a responsibility to evaluate the effects that opioid treatment could have on their patients. The new website was designed with the organization’s goals in mind: to advance opioid research and education for their patients and the public.

- Educate patients, physicians, and policymakers on safe use after injuries and surgeries.
- Support research and education to improve pain management strategies.
As a segment of the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, the Opioid Foundation needed a brand identity that was related but still separate from its parent organization. Lyquix designed a type-driven logo that worked to set the tone of a site with a more serious subject matter. Balancing new and borrowed styles, the site incorporates gradients and fonts that are used on the Rothman Institute website, along with custom image treatments and page design
